HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR YOU TO DISPATCH ITEMS?

Mon-Fri we aim to dispatch your item within 24 hours (48 hours at weekend). If the item you have purchased is a made-to-order item or is out of stock we will inform you immediately and give you a timeline when you can expect to receive your order.

 

I HAVE SPOTTED AN ITEM I LOVE ON YOUR WEBSITE BUT IT IS MARKED 'SOLD'. CAN YOU GET ME ANOTHER ONE?

If the item is a one-off vintage piece we cannot guarantee that we can find you the same, but we can do our best to source or make something similar.

 

I DON'T HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT, HOW CAN I PAY?

We also offer the option to pay by debit or credit card - please note we cannot take payments over the phone - our payment system is a secure system

which means we don't have access to your card details.

 

I DON'T LIVE IN THE UK, HOW MUCH WILL POSTAGE BE?

We send items worldwide - if your item is over 35.00 please choose the 'International Shipping Option' at checkout (10.95), this includes tracking and insurance. If your item is under 35.00, you can choose either the 10.95 option or the  6.95 option for normal international first class package (does not

include tracking or insurance, package sent at buyer's risk).

 

I FEEL UNSURE ABOUT SENDING MONEY VIA THE INTERNET, CAN YOU REASSURE ME?

We encourage all our customers to exercise caution when purchasing online. Ensure that any company you are buying from has provided a full address

and land line number in their contact details. Encrypted payment systems (like the one we offer) also provide additional peace of mind as your card/Paypal account details are not accessible to the vendor or any third party.

Many of our custom made items are handmade in England but, to offer you the best possible selection, we also work with US and Australian designers.

Our antique/fine jewellery is sourced worldwide.

 

CAN YOU TELL ME A BIT ABOUT THE HISTORY OF THE ITEM I AM PURCHASING?

Unless your item has been purchased from a seller with a story to tell (or documentation), sadly not. We endeavour to date as many of our items as we can and can give you some idea of provenance by letting you know which country your piece was sourced from. The rest is up to your imagination, surely one

of the greatest pleasures of owning vintage pieces.....

 

I REALLY LIKE SOME OF YOUR PEARL ITEMS BUT I'M NOT SURE IF THEY WOULD BE A GOOD COLOUR MATCH.

Let us know the item codes of the pieces you are interested in and we can advise you on the best colour and design matches.

 

WHAT ARE SWAROVSKI PEARLS?

These are simulated pearls with the equivalent hardness of natural pearls (due to a solid crystal centre) and the equivalent size and lustre of South Sea pearls.  Similar necklaces to the ones featured on our website in cultured pearl retail for thousands of pounds (but only an expert could tell the difference!).

 

I WOULD LIKE TO BUY ONE OF YOUR ITEMS AS A GIFT (NOT FOR A WEDDING). CAN YOU SEND MY ORDER IN A PLAIN BOX?

No problem. We can dispatch your item in generic packaging marked 'Vintage Gems'. Let us know if you would also like to include a special hand written message.

 

CAN I RETURN AN ITEM IF IT DOESN'T SUIT?

Of course! We understand it's not always easy buying from a picture on the internet. Feel free to ask us for additional pics/info to minimise the likelihood of having to return purchases. Our full returns policy is detailed under our Terms and Conditions section, please read this carefully prior to purchasing. Please note we do not accept returns of earrings for pierced ears (either sold separately or as part of a set).

We will do our best to accommodate rush orders with next day delivery but do try to place your order well in advance to avoid disappointment.

 

CAN I RETURN A CUSTOM MADE ITEM?

Sorry, we do not accept returns on specially made to order items.
